    Can you take snakes outside?

    Hello,
I'm wondering if you could take your snake outside, like put it on the grass etc.? I would like to once the weather gets warmer, but I'm terrified of her getting mites/ticks/parasites. should I put a blanket on the grass to let her slither around in or just let her slither around in the grass?

    thanks in advance!

Nope they are fine. They do jump from the tickling grass at first though so let them check it out a little at a time. Mine rub their face sideways on the ground when the grass tickles, kinda funny.

I do with mine when the weather is nice. I just stay very close though because we do have wild rabbits and other rodents that will occasionally make a hole in the yard and I don't want the snake to disappear down it looking for a meal. Also we have wild raptors and a nesting pair of owls in the area that would happily take a small snake as a meal, so I stay close enough to the snake to discourage that.

    LOL, that made me laugh...

    Jurrasic Park? LOL

Actually, we have Owls and all kinds of birds of prey around here, too !! I even had to bring my chihuahuas inside when the big ones begin cruising kind of low over the yard !!

I felt pretty dumb after I googled it...in my defense, sleeping meds and way past my bedtime... and now back to the regularly scheduled programming
