At what humidity do I need to start worrying about scale rot?

The reason I ask is because I moved my baby BP Jacques into a bigger enclosure with cypress bark substrate, which I layered with about a half-inch of damp (not wet) bark on the bottom and another half-inch dry bark on top of that. That's worked best for me in keeping the humidity at least above 50-60%.

The problem is, the humidity hovers more around 75-80%. Worse, whenever I take Jacques out of his tank, his underside is covered with damp cypress. He's not terribly wet when that happens and I dry him off each time, but it's still got me worried. Is this a problem, or would it take more than that to cause scale rot?
