    FB70-C Tubs/ AP Rack

Does anybody know if a FB70-C tub will fit properly into an Animal Plastics IRIS CB70 rack? I really like the rack and I would love to be able to use the FB70-C tubs.

I took your advice and contacted Ally this afternoon (very helpful person by the way) and this is what she told me - if anybody else has the same question. Ally said technically a FB70-C tub would fit into one of their IRIS CB70 racks but it would be really tight. She also said that over time the bottom of the tub may sag since the dimensions aren't exact and one could run into heating issues down the line. She said she's never had any feedback from anybody who has done this yet so she wouldn't really endorse the idea at this point.

Does anyone out there have any experience with this? If so, I'd love to hear from you.

Why not just ask her to make you a custom rack? If you sent her a tub to go off of, I bet they could do it. They are remarkably accommodating to custom requests.

I'll spare you from my usual 'CB-70 tubs are too small' spiel, but I would like to note my encouragement to go for a larger tub size

I didn't know asking for a custom rack was an option. What size tub would you recommend? I just really like the deli-cup holder feature of the FB70-C tubs.

I've never tried a custom rack, but I can say they have been pretty accommodating with regards to customized caging, so I would imagine they would do the same for a rack.

They do have a standard rack they make (you have to ask for it though I think) with quite sizable tubs, known as VE-175 rack or christmas tree tub rack.

If you want the inset deli cup, you can order tubs from ARS and then have animal plastics make you a rack to fit them if you want plastic instead of the typical ARS metal. You'd just ask for the ARS 8507 tubs separately with the deli cup feature. From freedom breeder, I would go with the FB-90 w/ cup option if that is your preferred route. The FB-90W is the same tub, but with a window. This tub size is about 75% of the popular T-8 enclosure animal plastics makes and many use for ball pythons.
