    My B.P. won't poo/pee in her tub

    So, I think I've gone and set up a bad pattern for Coco and haven't been paying enough attention to her cues . I up-sized her to a new tub (went from a 9qt to a 17qt), and with the temps being cooler, I have a Dyson heater in the area where her tub is. Ambient is 80, hot side 88-92, and I'm misting daily to keep humidity in the 60's. She hides all day, has 2 identical hides, and is on paper towel substrate. Biggest difference is she's spending more time in her cool side hide. She's a fantastic eater and she's not aggressive at all.

    The past few weeks, I take her out once for about 20-40 minutes so she can stretch out etc, kind of "walking" her. I'll have her in my lap, and she'll seem to settle, then all of a sudden...I'm sitting in her pee 3 times she's peed directly on me, and one time she peed / pooped on a desk I let her explore last week.

    I had been handling her for a total of 10 minutes, twice a day this past week(should note I leave her alone for 48 hours after eating)...and I tempted fate last night and she peed in her cuddle bag last night as I was holding her. Am I literally scarring / stressing the crap (and pee) out of her? Should I wait longer after she's eaten to handle her? Does she maybe need a new substrate? Has this happened to any of you?

    Thanks everyone !

    Sounds to me like you're taking her out too often.

    My boy Tyson has peed/pooped on me 3 times. Each time he did that he had been out for over 40 minutes. I no longer keep him out longer than 30 minutes and it hasn't happened since. (I should also note: all 3 times I was wearing a Red Sox sweatshirt, so maybe he hates the Red Sox??? Hahaha, just kidding, I just found that to be a funny coincidence. )

    I would limit handling sessions to no more than once per day plus give her a day off here and there and see if that helps.

    Seems to happen with mine when they get more exercise. . I notice the less they come out the less they go and the Harder the soils are..
    I now keep a small tote out and i know when they start to concentrate and the tail starts to lift i quickly pick them up over the tote.. Kinda funny.

    Hahaha, I started to get paranoid for a while any time Tyson was too still for too long!!! What's he so still for? Is he about to lift his tail and unload on me? Hahahhaha

    Yep just sounds like over handling. She'll go in her tub when she needs to. As they get bigger that can be longer in between and before you know it you'll wonder when a 50lb dog snuck in the tub and left a present.

    @craig Aw, LOL! "I smell red sox" *lays a big ol' dookie* Thanks for the insight ! Maybe I should start saying "Oh no, she's about to Sh*t still (instead of sit still ;D!)

    @CALM pythons Hahah, yeah I've now learned that suddenly sitting still is a bad sign XD! I haven't been able to spot the tail lift since I'm usually "Aww she's calmed do-.... aw dude, why?!"

    @HannahLou LOL!

    Thanks so much for the feedback everyone! I'll tone down the handling and let her do her duty!

    As others said, too frequent. It is possibly a combination of the exercise (good), but it is also a conditioning response. The snake does not WANT to crap in their house/bed! If they have a chance to pee/poop every day, when they are out of their "home", then they will use that opportunity! Wouldn't you?
