Question I have a future pairing question.

So I would say in about a year or two my husband and I will start breeding. I currently have a Pastel Enchi that I would like to pair with this beauty https://www.morphmarket.com/us/c/rep...-pythons/96575 I'd really like to get some feedback and maybe some recommendations on other possibilities with a Banana and Cinny. Thanks a bunch !

On a more serious note, I am too new at Ball Pythons to advise you.

With your pastel enchi? With the linked snake you have a LOT of possibilities. Do you want a lot of possibilities? Or prefer to plan and home in on a goal?

I'd like a ghi Mojave (insert extra genes you may want here) to put with the pastel enchi if you're not looking at recessives. The enchi ghi pastel mojave is bonkers.

Off the top of my head where would I go with a banana cinny? I'd add enchi orange dream yellowbelly and even fire to bring out oranges. I'd then make my favourite combo of that into a clown and add blade or leopard or spotnose. But all that is a long process and I'm rambling.

Keep in mind that with that particular snake the only guaranteed genes are Butter and Mojave. The rest are just best guesses. I've seen these about half the price, maybe you can talk the guy down. I've considered picking up some cheap BEL males to breed with some of my normals and single gene animals to prove them out and see if I can get some multi gene animals for cheap. Personally I'd probably spend $400 max on that snake. You can pick up Butter Mojaves for about $300. If you could prove out the other genes it would be worth $600, if he was for sure het pied maybe even more.

Re: I have a future pairing question.

If you aren't ready to start breeding just yet, i would wait to get a male, prices for some things might go lower overtime, and your morph prefences may change. Or you could find something you like better Can't go wrong with a bel that's for sure! I agree the price seems a little high on that particular listing.
In the end, its what you want and what you like that matters!

Re: I have a future pairing question.

first, that Butter Mojo (poss Pastel Leopard Blackhead poss het Pied) u linked and was interested in has a buggy left eye. alotta peeps try not to breed "defective" animals. (it sold already anyway.)

second, are u interested in breeding to make something colorful or to get some cool patterns? maybe both?

i think something like a girl Leopard Mojave or Leopard Lesser/Butter would go well w/ both your Pastel Enchi and Banana. u will get a nice variety w/ your Pastel Enchi and both nice colors and patterns w/ your Banana.

actually now that i think of it, your Cinnamon would go nicely w/ your 2 boys. if u want something else and different, IMO Champagne goes nicely w/ Cinnamon.
