Greetings! I recently purchased a carved wooden figure during my travels in Mexico that I would like to use as a hide in my ball pythons cage. I am working on having the type of wood identified since I am aware that cedar is harmful to my snake. My question is, if it does turn out to be a cedar carving would a water based clear coat, or some sort of sealant be sufficient in order to keep the harmful effects of cedar from my snake. Any advice appreciated! I apologize for the random question!
