    Settling In

Its been a week since I got ledora and it seems like shes gotten into a routine. She sleeps all day in her cool hide. The at almost exactly 12:30am she comes out and sits on her log. She gets a drink and then noses around for a bit then goes to her warm hide for the night. Then in the morning shes back in her cool hide. Does it sound like shes settled in. Im going to try and feed her tommorow hopefully everything goes well.

    She's settling in just fine.
They're nocturnal, So you can expect to see them late at night.
    Running about.
Good luck on attempting to feed her, tell us how it goes.

Also, it's pretty neat you catch her drinking ...
    I rarely see mine drink.

Oh and when I see her sometimes I can see her sides pulsing like shes breathing. Is this bad or is it normal.

I've had my BP for a little over 2 months now and finally saw him drinking after a handling session today. I think it was the longest handling session that we've had yet, and I guess he got kinda thirsty out in this dry air.

    Re: Settling In

Sounds like she's settling in nicely. Good luck with the feed tomorrow. Also when I first got my bp I noticed his breathing. I'm no expert but in Sobe's case it wasn't any cause for alarm. I just kept a closer eye on him for other warning signs. He wasn't wheezing or propping his head up weird or having any fluid or bubbles from his nose and mouth and his temps and humidity were good. That first couple of weeks when you are getting to know your new bp can be a little stressful.
