    First Clutch Incubation Question/Concerns.

So I had a bit of a surprise a few weeks ago and one of my females laid her first clutch. I was already working on getting my incubator up and running, also testing it out so I was ok there. I went with Perlite with light diffuser on top for the egg box. My question is this:

I have some pretty big dimpling (about 2/3 of the way across one the eggs) and about 12 days left until day 55. Am I overly concerned for nothing? My temp is being held at a constant 89.5 and humidity is right at 100%. I am under the impression that with this setup you can't really add too much water so i dub a small hole in the corner and if the water line drops below that I fill it back up. All 5 eggs still have veins and to my amatuer eyes look to be healthy other than the dimpling.

Grats on the new clutch. I think it's normal to have dimpling around this time in the incubation. Are you sure about the humidity percentage? That its always been at 100% from the beginning? What you can do , is use some "press and seal" wrap to cover the tub at this point as a added measure. Just be careful when placing it on and don't let the eggs be exposed too long or jostle the egg tub at all.
Stay in peace and not pieces.

I am as sure as I think I can be about the humidity. I do have a fairly inacurate hydrometer but it's been 95%+ the whole time. I do use the press and seal on the top and then of course the lid to finish it off. I have had water droplets from condensation on the press and seal each time I open it (once a week or less mainly). I installed some drinking straws to make sure the water from the top falls harmlessly away from the eggs. They basically stand straight up and form a mini tent around the eggs.

They always dimple near the end. I would leave them be personally. The more you mess with them this far along the greater chance you have for tangled umbilicals. No need to candle this late either as the light can also lead to twisting. If they are white and not flat, chances are good
    Nothing
