Airtight food storage for frozen rodents

Would using something like these airtight food containers be good to drop my frozen rodents into, and place into the freezer? Or, do I really need something more along the lines of vacuum sealing? They do have plastic food containers available that allow you to remove the air from inside, but these are not them. This particular set comes up on sale often.

I currently use a mini box freezer, and have all my rodents in plastic ziplock bags (25 per bag).

I personally portion in ziplocks. I start by weighing and sorting the mice/rats. I then package them in groups of 5 or less depending on prey size in appropriately sized ziplocks. From there I put the small ziplocks in large freezer size ziplocks and then double bag in grocery bags. Never had any issues with freezer burn or anything else and have had prey last 6+months. Portioning into bags of 5 or less limits how many times a bag is opened and re-opened which also helps with freshness. Also, I sort by size to feed appropriate sized meals as the animals grow as well as keeps them separated by individual snake.

I certainly see no issue with using those containers, but I would bag in smaller individual bags to keep them air tight and prevent exposure to air each time you open the tub.

    Hope this helps.

Just get zip loc freezer bags and push the air out as you close them. Works like a charm and while not the most environmentally friendly they do the trick.

Sounds similar to what i do - except I use food saver bags instead of zip lock. Weigh it all out, portion them up, and sort accordingly.
