    Gobby watches TV...

Like most of us, my ball python Goblin can become mesmerized by the TV. None of my other BPs do this; he will stare at it with his tongue flicking for an hour if you let him. Here he is on my coffee table being entranced by the TV. To give ya an idea of his size, that's a 62 inch TV. (we could never afford this, but our friends moved to Hawaii and left it for us, lol.) And yes, those are my American knees, lol

Of course he likes to lounge around and watch the t.v. He's a MALE!

Just wait till he starts up with the remote stealing, sports watching, "hey hon if you're up, can you grab me a beer" stuff!

    lol!
I don't know what we were watchin; for some reason, the TV just looks blank. Could have been a weird moment between commercials and the show. Probably Cops; my man is addicted to that. I guess Gob would like the same stuff; did you ever notice how male pets tend to gravitate toward the male in your household, while the female ones tend to bold with women more? I really believe this!

Odd that you should say this. With her long history of hissing at me, since the day I brought her home, she has never once hissed at Nanci! LOL! I never even thought of that. Nanci has this wild connection with animals of all species though. She was trying to catch a cat in a have a heart trap & ended up catching two skunks instead. Amazingly, she went out & freed them & they did not once skunk musk her.
Life is like a game of poker. You can play each hand to the best of your ability but you are still going to run into a bad beat from time to time. What matters is how you handle it. Do you go on tilt or can you maintain your composure & rebuild your stack?

In my household ALL animals gravitate toward me. Of course that could have something to do with the fact that I FEED them all. I'm the caretaker of all things living and even those things that aren't alive as long as they are nonelectrical!

    Re: Gobby watches TV...

My snakes watch TV too - especially the Boas. They have a glass viv which is directly opposite the TV. One night a few weeks ago both the Boas were in their hide but their heads and necks were out. They were looking directly at the TV. We switched off the TV to go to bed and two disgruntled snakes promptly about-turned with a flick of their tongues (snake equivalent to two fingers up LOL) and went back in their hide in disgust. Strangely enough, it was Animal Planet we were watching...

The Pythons too, especially Byron will sit on my shoulder and watch TV, tongues flicking with interest. He'll sit there for ages quite content. Bobby (my rescue) is only learning that he's being treated kindly now and is responding to that by putting on weight, eating well and is now looking very handsome.

My two BPs (both males) are happier with me handling them than with Graham even though he handles them a lot. On the other hand, the Boas are Graham's (they're both male too) and prefer Graham handling them to me.

I'm trying to teach the snakes to refer to me as:

Queen Joanna, Keeper of the Royal Hemostats

they just aren't getting it quite yet! LOL
