    Original neosporin for scale rot???

First off happy thanksgiving😀 I was at my cousins house today checking out his new ball he got and under the head on lower jaw I noticed 3 scales not in a group but rather sporadic that had light brown tips and I checked to make sure it did not have mites so I am assuming it’s the very early stages of scale rot. I know people have conflicting information so I wanted to see who is for and against original neosporin (pain killer free)

Treatment will depend on the extent more often than not if a few scales are affected what you want to do is clean the animal up, change the substrate to paper towel, keep the animal clean and dry and wait until the next shed.

While neosporin can be used initially you want to avoid long term used or usage over a large area since it is oile based and oil based product will losen up scales which will start falling off.

    Do you have a picture?

I would let it be and make sure the snake is clean and on clean paper towel.
