    rat sizes?

my ball python Garcia is 6 years old, something like 5'7-5'8 and currently weighs in at a whopping 3124g (fed on the 11th, weighed 5 minutes ago). most of the feeding charts i've seen have the snake's weight capped at 1000g with a medium rat being fed every 2 weeks. i've been feeding 1 large rat every 3 weeks with no problems or off feeding (the exception being a rotten batch of f/t). she doesn't appear to be overweight but i'm not sure if i should move down a size and feed every 2 weeks or keep the larges and feed every 3 weeks (or longer?). when i adopted her a year ago i tried switching to every 2 weeks because 3 seemed really long to me but she wouldn't take that often, maybe because they were large and not medium? the larges also don't leave a visible belly bump when eaten but i've read that jumbo rats have a higher fat content so i definitely don't want to be feeding her the next size up and have her get overweight

so basically my question boils down to:
    • is what i'm doing already ok for her?
    • should i try moving down to a medium every 2 weeks or keep feeding a large every 3 (or longer)?
    • if changing her feeding schedule is beneficial but she doesn't accept the change, at what point do i give up or how should i continue to persuade her?

i'm still a fairly new owner so i guess this is my first stupid beginner's question lol any insight would be great

I personally think If you snake is happy, and not underweight, then it is fine to do as you are. Best wishes!
