Too many feeders
Guys, I messed up. A little while I was gonna order large adult mice online because I know it's lots cheaper. I got 100 at $1.50 a piece verses the $3.00 they are here where I live. Well that was a month ago when a large adult mouse was barely small enough for my new retic to eat. Well now, a month and a half later he destroys two and barely shows any signs of him eating. Next weeks he's gonna start getting three. Is it okay to feed multiple instead of moving up a prey size to something like rats??? I got greedy trying to save money and now imma have a lot of mice. What should I do?

Re: Too many feeders
Also, when are most ball pythons ready for adult mice? I've been thinking about getting a pair to raise up and breed.

Should not be a problem just takes more time feeding. Have you thought about selling some of your extras, you might be able to trade for larger feeders too. I know from time to time I would be interested in making a trade... right now I have to many frozen mice myself.

It's totally fine to feed multiple prey items.
BP's can eat adult mice really early, by the time theyre 150~200g. It's not worth breeding mice just for BP's, rather breed rats if you must breed their prey. It's best to convert them to rats as early as possible.

I'd just use multiple items per meal. You may need to space out the meals some more though (maybe 1-3 days longer between) to allow for digestion. I'm doing this with one of my hatchling BPs... I had a lot of rat fuzzies but no rat pups, so she is getting 2 rat fuzzies every 7 days instead of 1 pup every 5 days until I use up the fuzzies.
Frozen feeders keep for ~1 year in the freezer if kept in an air tight package, so don't worry if you have a few leftovers, you can just save them and use if you get another snake that eats them.
You might want to look into a dealer that sells in smaller package sizes if 100 was the smallest package you could get. I purchase from big cheese and perfect prey and both usually sell in increments of 15 to 25 (for mice to medium rats).
When I order, I try to think of what everyone will need and order enough for 6 months at a time at least. With having a retic, they grow quickly, so I'd say an order for you would be jumbo mice, weaned rats and small rats, maybe some mediums to keep on hand too if you're planning on ordering for more than 6 months out.
