What is spinning

I was reading through a discussion on this forum and the topic of kinking and spinning was brought up. I understand what kinking is but what is spinning?

That is the thread I read(I even posted this question in that thread) but I was never able to get my question answered. So is the head of the snake actually spinning (not exorcist style) but just kind of swaying in a circle?
