Worms??
So I'm looking to buy this Cinnamon but when contacted the breeder, he said that he was actually at the vet and being checked out for worms? I've seen this specific BP before, and absolutely beautiful, I was wondering...what would cause a BP to get worms? bad food? and whats typically the recovery time for that? He said that if I was to purchase him/her I would have the medicine included in the purchase. Naturally I cannot find any other Cinns I like around here. Any Advice would be appreciated.

Re: Worms??
Internal parasites can be common in WC but Idk what could cause it in a domestically bred snake with domestically bred parents

Cross contamination, shared living spaces, poor working conditions, bad luck? Not really possible in rodents to snakes (rat parasites don't infest snakes, they only temporarily carry them like buses). If a collection had a contaminated snake or two and cleaning wasn't done well you could cross contaminate the racks and boom, worms!
Being checked out does not mean worms just that it might be a problem eater. Personally I would have issue with buying a snake that needed vet care unless I was rescuing it but that is just me.

Re: Worms??
Well I'm waiting for a call in the next 30 mins to find out whats the deal...they're asking $119, Idk if that would be ideal for the pricing of a potentially ill snake...I know BHB has one female for 125+shipping....

There are many cinnies around since it is a pretty common morph, they typically retail at $50 Male / $75 Female (talking about 2017) + Shipping
No reason to get one that has a health issue to start with.
Check Morph Market https://www.morphmarket.com/us/c/rep...sort=lg&page=1

I personally would NOT purchase an animal with any health issues when you can get a healthy animal from a reputable breeder for a fair price very easily.

If Brian has a healthy one for $6 more....go with Brian. And you can call and talk to Tina about a specific snake you're interested in.

I am with everyone else. That animal does not justify the risk. Getting worms in captive bred animals means that the conditions that it is being kept in are not ideal. Quarantine could be bad and or it is just dirty. It could have other things that are far worse than worms and are very expensive to test for.
Honest, I only need one more ...

Re: Worms??
Yea I've totally decided NOT to go with that sick baby, its sad but it is what it is....Just trying to decide on https://www.morphmarket.com/us/c/rep...-pythons/93872
or https://www.morphmarket.com/us/c/rep...-pythons/84430
The first one is really pretty but looks to yellow to be just Cinnamon...not complaining still a stunner.

Both mammals and reptiles can be hosts for pinworms, roundworms, hookworms, and flatworms (flukes & tapeworms). It would be rare to find these in a CBB reptile that had only eaten domestic feeders. A snake could pick up parasites from a live feeder, which is why offering your snake wild-caught rodents is a bad idea.
Of course if a commercial feeder were the source of the parasite then the whole colony would have to be treated.
