scale seems not fixed to body in a certain area

I just noticed my ball python has a small patch of scales which are not firmly fixed to his body like the rest of his scales. When I run my hand from tail to head- going against the scales- they are all so firmly adhered that I am able to do this smoothly, except in one spot. Is this something to worry about? Almost looks like they stick out a bit. He is kept at 80 degrees ambient with a 92 degree hot spot from an undertank heater. Cage is misted once in the morning and once at night, always reads between 60 and 70%. Very good eater.. Looks healthy otherwise. Is this a problem?

I'm not an expert or even well versed but 70% humidity is a little high unless in shed as far as I know your temps and humidity won't cause any issues like your describing but again not an expert but pictures would definitely help for those who are well versed!

I'm not an expert either, but as long as they aren't always sticking out and only 'catch' your hands when you stroke the snake opposite how the scales run, I don't think this is a big issue. If you could get a photo that might help. Do they look discolored at all?

Also try not to pet the snake that direction anyway, as it can catch scales and probably feels pretty uncomfortable.

I'll try to get a picture up, but it is pretty subtle. Just seems odd that it's only in one spot.

And of course I was not petting him against the grain, so to speak. I had him out and he was crawling all over me, in the course of which I noticed it and further investigated.
