    Rack placement ?

We are having our hardwood floors refinished this weekend and while everything is out of my bedroom I am going to try to reorganize it a bit. I used to have a desk by my window, however I am going to leave this out of my room as I don't really use it anymore. I would like to put my rack in its place, is there any reason why I shouldn't place the rack near the window?

    Re: Rack placement ?

I haven't kept racks myself so my opinion might not be 100% correct, but I don't see a problem with that, and I haven't heard anything about that being bad before. Just be sure to always leave your window shut, as I've heard some horror stories about pesticides coming through open windows and killing reptiles very quickly. Other than that, I suppose, depending on where you live and if you leave you window curtains open, it might get a little hotter by the window so that's something to keep in mind.

    Good luck!

Depends if the window is well sealed. Older drafty houses you want to avoid windows. Also Direct sunlight through the window can cause over heating. With that said I have enclosures and a rack near a window in the spare bedroom I keep my animals in. (it is a well sealed window with good blinds).

Two issues have already been adressed. 1 keep windows closed to prevent airborne particles that could harm them. 2 direct sunlight can overheat. I'll add a third depending on your climate windows can let heat escape.
