    Che

I'm wanting to get a CHE for my tank. I've been reading that it needs a wire cage of some sort and not a dome. Is this true or can i use a dome? I already have a thermostat for it and plan on getting a dimmer. Any pictures of your set up would be great thanks.

What type of tank do you have? That will help with appropriate advice.

    Re: Che

you should be able to use a CHE in a dome if you have a screen top. It can sit right on the screen itself. I would also make sure to to get a dome with ceramic fitting as they can get pretty hot at the base.

    Re: Che

IF you where using your day/night setup for a source of heat then no you can leave the CHE on 24/7 connected to a dimmer and adjust accordingly for nighttime drops and such. Light during the day is not really necessary either, they do just fine with the natural light of your room.
