    Not only do I feel....

crappy about what happened this AM, but I am so sick of pet owners who do not/will not keep their pets under reasonable control for thier own safety.

So, I get in my bronco to take my daughter to school in the next township over (since our local school sucks I wont have her attend there), on my way back about 4 blocks from my house, I was comng up the street, not even going 20 mph, out runs a tiny little kitten so fast I could not stop to avoid hitting it. Sadly, I heard it yowl, and when I stopped, it had already disapeared out of site. So, I feel horrible about this. But I am so sick of ppl who claim to be owners and ppl who love thier animals, yet they let them run the streets for things like this to happen. Our city does nothing for the cats cause they say the "cats own the ppl", why is it we have laws for dogs but not cats? How can a cat own a person? I dont see that cat going out to work for its persons food stuff, nor paying the household bills, etc.... someone wanna tell me how a cat owns a person and there is no laws to govern cats and the keeping of them?

This is the 2nd cat within a month that has gotten hurt/killed because of its "owner" not keeping it under control of some sort. The first was in my engine compartment earlier this month without me knowing it until it was too late. Grrr, ppl!

I'm so sorry to hear about your horrible morning. It's a terrible feeling, even if there is little or nothing you can do about that poor kitten. That's a big reason why people need to have their cat spayed or neutered. Feral cats can be such a heartbreaking issue. Even worse when people allow their pets to act in the same way.

What a sad story. It isn't your fault; I would blame the.. stupid person who allowed the kitten to be outside.
I live in hick-ville, and it is the most common thing in the world, to have a thousand barn cats on a farm. I see dead cats roughl once a week, sometimes more often, on the sides of roads. This is completely stupid; if ppl want rodent control in their barns, they should go buy some poison bait.
    My cat never goes outside.

Yeah I hate when I see people who refuse to take proper care of the animal they bring home. I called the HS on the kids who live next to me for leaving thier dog out 24/7. The HS shows up and tells me so long as it looks healthy has food/water there is nothing they can do. I live in San Antonio its 95+ every day with a heat index in the low 100s poor aninal has no shade for over 4 hours each day, sorry to ramble on just hit a sore spot in my heart.
