    Breeding siblings

Is breeding siblings something that is done with snakes or is that a no-no.

I wasn't sure if it mattered with snakes. Just curious is all.

    Thanks

Inbreeding and line breeding are common, especially when trying to prove out a new recessive morph or when the pool of available breeders is fairly small, as with some of the more rarely kept species. I personally wouldn't do it for more than one generation but some breeders do it.

Inbreeding doesn't matter nearly as much with ball pythons. (or rats for that matter)

If there IS some sort of uber rare inherited issue, it'll bring it out. But I haven't ever heard of it yet.
