Do bumblebees hold their bright color into adulthood?
So i was up at my reptile shop buying everyone dinner and i saw the brightest little bumblebee male BP. I was wondering from you BP pros, a bumblebee is a pastel spider, how well does that pastel hold up into adulthood. I have read pastels brown out a lot unless you mix fire or other stuff into it. Is this true? I'm lookin at you Deborah and Albert as well as I'm sure some other BP pros
The snake is 2.5 months old and I was actually tempted to buy it even though I'm not a huge BP fan. He was the most inquisitive little snake. He was out and about and wasn't shy at all lol. She's asking $200 for it.

Most brown out. It's rare to see a yellow bumblebee as a adult

Disappointing. He was so bright. Like a little neon worm lol. Now if she had a clown, I probably would have caved haha. The 2 BPs i like the most are high white pieds and clowns and i got a high white pied.

Well there are always exceptions to the rules but if I had to say it would be about 99.9% chance he would brown out. It really depends on the line if pastel and if any other genes are involved like fire or enchi. There are better lines you can get if you look

Your female looks nice. And yeah i wasnt planning on another BP. It was just kind of a impulse thing. I really am saving the last Ap cage i have for either a male Rio Bravo Poki suriname from Chris Wolf to go with my female or a female Meltzer/Lincoln or Denton line anery BCL to go with my male.

Because there is Pastel this means the animal will brown out to a degree, some will more than other, that's what pastel do unless you add some en-lighter morph to guarantee that the animal will age well, otherwise it's really a gamble.
This is a female Bee over 1500 grams in this picture.

Additionally a Bee even a nice one will run you $75 Male / $125 to $150 Female

I had a male bee that was about 1400g+ when I sold him and he held his yellow significantly more than other adults I've seen so it does vary some but if you like the bold yellow I'd look into other morphs. Like Deborah said, that's pretty expensive for a male too.
