Good ceramic heat emitters to use in large tanks

I have just built a 6ft x 2ft x 2ft tall melamine enclosure for a reticulated python. I now realize I have no way to heat it and I can't think of a good way to. The tank is made of 3/4 inch melamine so underbelly heat is not an option. Are there any heat emitters that could work for a tank that large with a thermostat? I'm worried if I used one my snake would reach up and burn him self on the heat emitter. If anyone has any good ideas on this or any good enmiters I could buy at a pet co or petsmart that would be great thanks!

Screen off the CHE. That'll prevent burns.

May have to use multiple CHE, since a 100w is intended for a 30-40g tank. So about 48" x 13" x 17". RHP may simply end up being more cost efficient in the long run, along with more suitable for this task and safer.

Re: Good ceramic heat emitters to use in large tanks

I'd go with a radiant heat panel for an enclosure that large. No risk of burns, will heat a larger area more efficiently, just can't get them at big box pet store. I'd suggest Pro-Products or reptile basics.
You could get wire caging to enclose a CHE in the cage but personally I'd still go with a RHP over that

If you call Bob at Pro-Panels, he seems to be extremely pleasant and knowledgeable (and willing to always help) on the RHP's that he sells, and what might work for you particular setup.
