Ball Python Hiding in different spot

My ball python usually always hides in the warm side of the enclosure in its hide and it likes to dig the substrate out and sit directly on glass but I have set it to be 90 degrees when it's directly on glass and it seems to do ok but yesterday it was out all day looking around and now it's on the cool side not in the hide but in a crack spacing between the hide and glass is this normal it spent a night in it. I feed it once a week tommrow is it feeding day

Yep. Boople does the same thing. She digs all the substrate out of her hide. Then squeezes into the tiniest spot up against the glass and hide. I just shake my head at her silliness!

*~* Nothing sticky (tape, stick on gauges, Velcro) goes into your enclosure! Again...NOTHING sticky goes into your enclosure....EVER! *~*

Check your hotspot and make sure it is really 90 degrees with a temp gun. If it is all is probably fine. It may be out thinking it is going to ambush a meal.
Honest, I only need one more ...

As long as your husbandry is on point, your BP may be hungry.

First, make sure your temps are right.

What is the snake's weight? What prey and what size prey are you feeding?

These are basically not fit for snake temp purposes they just give the ambient temps ..
