    Keeping temperatures up at night???

I have been having issues with my temperatures. I have a heat mat on 24/7 in my ball pythons tank but it only get the temp up to on average 84° on the hot side. So during the day I keep on a heat lamp which boosts temp's to 90-93° on the hot side and mid 80's on the cool side. My problem is during the night when the lights off the temps drop to low, I would keep the light on 24/7 too but I'm worried of it being a fire hazard. Does anyone have any advice?? How do you heat your tanks at night??

First, uth does nothing for the air temp.

Second, if you need the light at night use it. I ran lights and che for years 24/7. I used lamp stands to keep them suspended and secured all the power wires from free dangling. No issues.

Third, that uth needs a thermostat if you don't have one.

    Keeping temperatures up at night???

While I have graduated away from heat lamps, I have no idea how many years and tanks I have used the on running 24/7.

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.
