How to attach a LED light strip to a wooden viv?

    Hi all!
First off, I know beeps don't need lighting... I had a UVB light in Wanda's old viv (Now Cinnamon's) but this time round I decided to get a lower-light LED light strip, mostly for my own selfish needs because it looks a lot nicer with the gentle blue glow
Anyway. My problem is, I can't get the strip to stick. It came with a sticky back, but that does not stick what-so-ever; Wanda climbs at night and she brought it down straight away with her fat butt Turns out the sticky back is not sticky at all, lol.
Anyway, this is the kind of thing that I have:

Has anyone ever used this sort of thing? How do you attach it to a wooden viv? I cleaned the surface before placing, but I'm guessing the humidity and/or heat means that the glue does not stick. I was thinking about getting some of that foam tape that has double sided sticky (Like what comes on the back of stick-on thermometors). Would that work okay?

Alcohol swab the surfaces, and loctite exterior use adhesive backing tape.

Not a reptile channel, but this is one of the best ways I have seen to use those adhesive LED's, the sticky part is not the best quality on those.
