    Black spot underbelly?

So I just begged for and rescued (for free) a male genetic stripe ball python (they thought it was a pinstripe??) Hes actually beautiful but hes super skinny, dehydrated and the whole deal. Anyways later me and my boyfriend looked at his underbelly noticed near his cloaca he has a dark almost black triangular mark and a bit further up a few similarly dark marks but very thin lines that go down the belly? The employee told us he could have a burn because temps went too high not long ago but they supposedly fixed it so I dont know, and would that cause such markings? I dont have a picture as my boyfriend kept him to get him healthy and eating in a decent amount of time.
