    1st clutch

I've been gone on a little "vacation" for a couple weeks. Thought my wife was watching my collection. Came home yesterday and had to clean n water my collection. To my surprise, my unknown ghost/possible yellow ghost laid a 4 egg clutch. Not sure when she laid, didn't think she was pregnant. But since I wasn't prepared, I'm letting her maternal incubate. Expecting the worst but praying for the best. Breeding was unknown ghost/possible yellow ghost×spider dbl het orange ghost/unknown ghost/possible yellow ghost. Yes its her sibling

Ok so my question is this. All over the place the going is 50-60% humidity and I have seen reasons from RI to comfort. I can easily get the humidity in my Cserpents to 99% (probably 100 but the gauge is 2 digit)...

So how high should humidity be on maternal incubation?

    Re: 1st clutch

With my rack systems set ups humidity is not a problem. Heat is on point. All eat f/t and live. I talked with the hobbyist that I buy from here locally. He came by checked her out and what not. He said he'd help me keep an eye on her. But still 1st clutch and learn by my mistakes and study more before trying to breed again. Be better prepared for next time.

    Re: 1st clutch

I maternally incubate with no problem at all. Here are my suggestions based on what has proven out for me.

    1. Set eggs on a towel that you dampen on the hot spot.
    2. purchase miracle grow water crystals https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0042YYVYG...a-311195095669
    3. drill 1/8 holes in old tupperware about 3x6" in size put crystals in and saturate with water. it doesn't take a lot of crystals they expand a lot. ( yes use lid those things are messy)

once a week add some water to re-fill the crystals. They act to buffer the humidity. I stole the idea from my cigar humidor

Checked on momma and eggs tonight. Seen she has kicked one egg out. Should I leave it or toss it out?

Candle it. If it looks good I would try to put it back. My bet would be it is bad though. One of my girls kicked an egg out before I got to the clutch this year. It candled good so I incubated it. I wish I hadn't though. It went full term but wouldn't come out of the egg. When I took it out I wished I had not incubated it. I guess somehow she knew it was not right. All the other babies were fine.

Good luck and keep us updated.
Honest, I only need one more ...
