hey guys I'm new to this forum as a member but have followed and read a lot of the threads on here. I would like to say there is a lot of guys and gals with a lot of good information on here and we all appreciate the help.

so today after work I walked into my BP room where me and my wife keep our two BP. as usual I check the thermostats and temps on both cages as I am OCD about the temp and humidity. when I realized that my ball python was pressed up against the glass on the cool side. indicating he may be hot. as I'm checking the temps I realize that he cant be to hot as the cool side is 81 degrees and the hot side is 91 at its hottest because that's what my thermos is set to. so I pull back the towel that I have covering the screen top terrarium I have ( I know it is a pain to keep temp and humidity right) to let some heat out and when I did he pokes his head up and begins to slither to the hot side. as he is doing then he stops and sticks his tounge out a lot and acts as if he is yawning. now he does this about 4 times over the course of 5 minutes. once he reaches the hot side he continues to hiss his tounge over and over. I know in words it doesn't seem like a big deal but I generally think something may be out of the sorts with him.

I'm not a exspert in BP but I do feel I have a good understanding of what they TEPICALY need and want and this has me confused...... is he hot?? is he hungry???? he ate 3 days ago. is something els wrong?? or is he just being a goof today???
