Ideas for final snake?
Okay so im spending most of this year upgrading caging but have plans for one more cage in the stack. Hopefully late this year I will get another snake.. It has to be very comfortable in a T8 or T10 for life. Im considering either a BP of some sort(I really love butters), or a spotted python or maybe a bredlis but I think they are too big? I dont want to spend much more then 200. I prefer something handleable and not too shy.
Any ideas? I think I am leaning toward either a small boa or python of some sort rather then a colubrid but dont rule them out completely.
THX

A male dumeril's boa or madagascar ground boa? The MGB is much more uncommon to find, but I think it's super neat to own a more unusual species. A ball python with hides and stuff would be super comfortable in there too. You'll want to find a mostly terrestrial species, since the cages are low.
Bredli's are semi-arboreal. 4x2x2 minimum for them generally, from what I've seen!
Unrelated, but you have so many corn snakes! :0

I thought a Bredlis would be too big, thanks. I like the look of a dumerils but thought they would get too big.
I actually only have 3 corns but have babies right now, they will be finding other homes.Next year will be my last year breeding them and then they will just be pets.I do plan on keeping one of the babies this year though.

Ah I see! Congrats on the babies!
Male dumeril's are small enough to stay in a T8 or T10 for life, in my opinion. They generally max out between 5~6 feet tops.

If you haven't ruled out colubrids I would definitely consider a Kingsnake. My adult Cali King, Django, is by far my favorite snake ever.
Also, I have seriously grown to LOVE hognose since adopting one, but a T8 or T10 would be huge for a hoggie, especially a male. Not to say you couldn't do it, I don't think at least...maybe get a divider and get 2? hahaha!!!
And of course, a ball python is always a good choice.
I have no experience keeping any of the other species you mentioned, so can't give you any input there...

Re: Ideas for final snake?
A smaller carpet python could live comfortably in a T8 or T10 with a shelf or perches but an enclosure with more vertical space is commonly preferred. It's fun to watch them climbing and perching in the trees . A bull snake is another nice option. They're large beautiful colubrids with really easy care requirements. I have a female that's a tad over 7ft and she does great in a T8.

Bredls will do just fine in a T10. I keep adult coastals in them. Additional height would be used, but is absolutely not neccesary.

If colubrids haven't been ruled out, I would consider Honduran milk snake.
Rainbow Boas would also be an excellent choice. Brazilians are most popular, but I prefer Colombian. Either would be great.
