New Pythons at work
Sooooo we just got two new baby Balls at work. I know they were born 11/2016. They are a little over foot long. I have not weighed them yet since I wanted to get them into their habitat so they can chill for a week.
My question is this: What do I start them on? I have hoppers at work right now, nothing bigger. Would I give them more than one at a time already untill i get bigger meals? and then what should I order? Adult mice?
Last time we had Balls they underfed them and i knew but was not up to date on BP. Now I know better and they will have the best care

Hoppers are for BP out of the egg, at 7 months your BP should be able to eat a MUCH larger prey, feed a prey equal it's girth size.

Yep. My BP is a lot bigger. Never done a baby so I want to make sure they get fed appropriately.

So should I feed them 2 hoppers each for now until I order larger? And should I go adult mouse?

Weigh them and feed a rodent 10-15% of their body weight - my BP was also born 11/16 (~200g) and is eating 1 ~25g rat pup a week.

Re: New Pythons at work
Oh these are smaller than rat pups. My girl at home is on rat pups too. These ladies are much smaller.

Re: New Pythons at work
I will weigh them today as well. Might even try a feed to get them on the schedule.

Re: New Pythons at work
So one is 78g and the other little lady is 58g. So both are getting a hipper today since 15% would be 9 and 12g. Hoppers weigh more than that since I weighed those too. These girls will be fed properly and have a nice growth rate while I'm in charge lol. Thanks for everyone's help. Never done babies without any info really on them except b date and type.
