Question Question about T-10 and herpstat

First of all, I'd like to say this the most informative
and helpful forum around. The knowledge of people
on here is astounding. After much research and
reading every post and comment on here for months, I
felt confident enough to get my first noodle last October,
a birthday present to me. Needless to say I'm
completely obsessed. I went to my first reptile expo 2
weekends ago and got a beautiful super pastel spider. He's
doing fantastic, just took his second meal tonight. Without
the people here, I don't think I ever could done it. So a huge
thank you all, who share all they know to help a newbie
    like me.
Now for my question. I ordered 3 T-10's from AP with heat
panels from Bob. They will be stacked on top of each other
in our living room. Can I use just one herpstat, or do I need
three? I may in the near future get one or two more. Should
I plan ahead and get a herpstat 6? And also, Bob said to hang
the probe on the cool side set at 80, does that sound right?

As long as the rhp are all identical you can use one tstat. That is as long as the three rhp do not exceed the power load of the single plug. Three should be fine, I have three set up like that.

If you think you're going to expand a Herpstat 4 or 6 may be a good choice. I have two 1s, a 2, and a 4. They have all worked great for me.

Re: Question about T-10 and herpstat

If you only want a single Herpstat, to run 3 separate RHPs you should get at least a Herpstat 4. That is essentially 4 thermostats built in one (there's no Herpstat 3)
