    Partial shed

My BP has been ready to shed for a couple days now so I've been misting his tank and keeping his water bowl full as often as I can and I thought I was doing an OK job but apparently I wasnt. I lifted up his hide to two small patches of shed (his head/eyecaps) and the rest of him still very much not shed. He usually sheds on one whole piece and I freaked out. I put him in a container of lukewarm water and let him soak and will be letting him run thru a washcloth in a little bit. Is there anything else I can be doing? This is my first experiece with a shed like this and I'm freaking out a bit so any recommendations are really appreciated!

Dont freak out. What's the humidity in his enclosure and what? What type of enclosure and substrate are you using? I wouldn't soak him anymore unless he just has some small stuck sheds left. Make him a little humid hide and give it a few days.

OK I didnt let him soak too long and ran him thru my hands and the parts of him that got damp sort of flaked/peeled away. Most of it is off now except a 3ish inch long section towards on his neck so now I'm keeping his tank nice and moist and hopefully he will take care of that small piece himself. His tank humidity detecor SAYS his tank has been about 60-70% humidity, however, its just a cheap plasticy thing and I think its on its last legs and may have gotten some moisture inside thats screwing with its readings. I'm using coconut husk substrate (Eco earth) and a glass enclosure. I've heard animal plastics is better at keeping the humidity up but thats not really in my budget rn so I'm just keeping tinfoil on the top and making sure to mist it often
