Hey all, I just recently got around to transferring my ball python from a 20G glass terrarium to a 34qt Sterilite Tub, and since I made the transfer a couple of days ago my life has been much easier. As we all know, the tub makes my life infinitely easier by properly maintaining humidity and temperature levels, but my concern is that the tub is a bit smaller than the tank in terms of the base surface area (or at least shorter in length) so I can no longer fit a hide on each side with enough room in between to put the water bowl. I've read in many places that a 34qt Sterilite tub is the perfect size for an adult ball python, so I didn't expect to encounter this issue for my boy Braska who is right around the 1100-gram size.

I currently have the tub setup with just one hide, and Braska seems to be happy in the new home, but I definitely do plan to make some changes so I can accommodate the dual-hide setup as is preferred. I guess my options here are either to go with a larger (or at least longer) tub, or otherwise I'll have to look into smaller hides for him. The ones I'm currently using are most likely a bit bigger than he needs; they are the Exo Terra Reptile Caves, and I had to bump up from Large to Extra Large because he could no longer comfortably fit through the opening of the Large caves.

I'm at work right now so I can't provide any pictures or specific measurements, but I'll be happy to do so once I get home if that would be helpful. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
