    The fake shed.

Ok a few days ago my snakes eyes turned blue i put in the humid hide and get ready for it. Like two days ago the eyes turned back to normal and no shed in the tank. What happened and has this happened to anyone else?

Yes and as far as I know it's perfectly normal for them to go back to looking like they are out of shed, then bingo they'll shed a day or two later. That's what I've seen a lot of people post here and that's how it works with both our b.p.'s. One of mine only sheds inside her warm side hide so we have to go looking for it every darn time LOL.

yeah that is actually the normal process for shedding. 1. pink belly 2. blue eyes 3. regular looking 4. they shed and show there "true" colors very interesting process.
    so don't worry about it.

    Re: The fake shed.

I'm seeing the same behavior. I just got my bp two weeks ago on a Thursday. Fed him for first time on Sunday. Fed again at the advise of the breeder on Thursday, and Saturday night he was looking a little pale and eyes were greyish/blue. Now he looks normal after some misting of his enclosure, and I don't see any evidence of a shed. Is it possible he was just dehidrated, or could this be one of these "fake sheds"?

    Thanks,

    Ken

    Re: The fake shed.

there really is no such thing as a fake shed.. you guys just have to give the snake some time.. after a balls eye turns normal again it takes up to 4-5 days before they actually do the shedding... on avg its more like 2-3.. but some of mine tend to take longer than others
