Agressive boa - help

so i got this boa that was tame when i got him, but then i went to the hospital because i needed surgery, and within less than a week his good temper has gone down the drain. While holding him he'll just randomly strike at the air and yesterday he went on a biting fit where he didn't actually bite me, but he was just striking again and again at thin air. Does anyone know how i should go about taming him? I'm holding him right now and I have to be careful not to make any sudden movements to prevent him from striking. He's just sitting there in my hand in strike position all the time.... Anyways thanks for helping this is a serious problem.

How long have you had him? How old his he?

Have you checked his temps and humidity?

How often is he eating and what size/type of feeder?

I went through the same thing. Unfortunately mine male has never gone back to being docile. I dont know what happened but he is as nervous as a mouse in a snake enclosure. Strikes into the air, strikes if i fill his water.... I have now excepted thats who he is and I do things on his terms. There are days he is ok, but 4 out of 7 he wants to be left alone. He climbs all night and is outgoing, but he rather not be handled. My female is opposite, curious and outgoing.
