Smaug is easily confused

Just sharing a little moment with my BP that made me laugh this afternoon.

He was having a nice wander on the table when I had him out in the living room just now and got completely perplexed by a mug of tea (he was about 10cm away from it and stopped dead). Waved his head from side to side, having a good look at it, flicking his tongue like crazy. Did this for a good couple of minutes. Perhaps he thought it might be some kind of strange cylindrical animal because it was quite warm.

Eventually he decided the mug was just too weird for him and decided to turn completely round on himself and crawl back to me.
