So Im getting a balll python and my humidity in the cage is only about 30% and i dont know how to get it up because my spray bottle only keeps the humidity up for about 30 mins, plus how do i keep the humidity up when i go away for week on VACA?

For your humidity issues the problem is "screen top". If you do a search on that and humidity you will find a lot of threads on this issue.

A lot of things will be answered by reading this caresheet.

the easiest fix for you is using tin foil to cover the top, cutting out holes for the light(s), then add vent holes as needed to the tin foil to adjust heat/humidity. With a glass tank you probably want to cover up three sides so the BP feels more enclosed. they are not out in the open snakes, they are "live in the ground in burrows" kind of snake. they will "warm up" to you faster if they feel secure.

In the long run, as cash flow allows, I'd recommend getting a thermostat (herpstat if you have the cash, jumpstart if you need to be cost conscious) and use a heat mat like flexwatt or UTH with the probe sandwiched between the glass and the mat on the outside of the tank where the snake can't pee on it or move it. I'd ditch the heat lamps in the long run. there are other ways to do this but this is the simplest to explain. there are some good ideas in this thread: https://ball-pythons.net/forums/show...With-Pictures!
