I have a 3 1/2, almost 4 year old female BRB that has suddenly become lethargic and frankly acts like she's dying; it's the only way I can describe it. Three nights ago I noticed that she seemed a little off and her belly was rather pink, I thought it was a bit strange because she had just shed maybe a week ago and typically her belly only goes pink when she's getting ready to shed. Then the following night she refused to eat and seemed more lethargic. This is a snake I've never had an issues feeding before and is typically a rather voracious eater (she's always eaten f/t). Then yesterday she was even more lethargic. Pick her up and she's pretty limp in my hands (she always has a very tight grip) and was stretched all around her tub. I checked temps and did notice they were a little low, but not too terrible, so I readjusted them and soaked her in a warm bath. She's seemed to enjoy the bath as she settled down into the water, but any time I've picked her up since then she's still been very limp with only occasional younger flicks. I can flip her upside down and she takes several seconds at least before she will react and turn herself back over, and even then it seems to be an effort. I set her in her tub and left her alone for about an hour and came back to find she hadn't moved at all. So I manually curled her up in her warm hide. This morning she was out again stretched along the tub. My first thoughts had of course been IBD, but this came about so suddenly and she's had no other symptoms; no star gazing or mouth gaping or wobble. I've also checked her over and didn't see any mites and when I palpitated her belly I didn't feel any abnormal lumps or blockages. She will respond somewhat to my touch but it's very...delayed you could say, as thought she doesn't want to move. The only time she's responded fairly quickly was when I was opening her mouth to make sure she didn't have something stuck there (all my snakes are handled with me checking their mouths in the event of an emergency, so they tolerate it). I have a vet appt on Tuesday, it's the soonest I could get in between my work and the vets hours; they're the only good exotic vet around and even then it's a 3 hour drive so it was the best I could do.
Any help or ideas or advice is greatly appreciated. I'm at my wits end and I'm so worried about her right now. She's literally my best snake and I've never had an issue with her in the three years I've had her and I honestly have no idea what to do.
