Ball python did something weird in the water...

My b.p. is going through a bad shed so I drew a small bath of warm/slightly above room temperature tap water and held the snake next to it.The b.p. then fully submerged it's head in the water and after a couple of seconds pulled it's head back out and stretched it's jaw a few times rather quickly...not like a yawn but about half as wide as he would when he yawns and he didn't do both sides of his jaw at the same time.He did kind of the walking jaw thing they do when they eat. After that he got in an S position and just stared at me a couple seconds.I picked him up and listened and couldn't hear any wheezing or anything but I'm afraid he inhaled water or something.I really don't know what to think of this.Any experiences like this or thoughts on what happened?I'm kinda scared he inhaled water and is gonna dry drown or something....

They can drown if you let them submerge for long, not for a few seconds like that, no worries.

Did he already finish shedding and has stuck shed? Or did he not shed yet?

An easy method for removing stuck shed is putting a warm wet towel in a tub (no warmer than 90 degrees) and putting him in there to crawl over the towel. After 10 minutes, take him out and help remove any leftover stuck shed using the towel, and they will just slide off. It's easy and low stress for the snake.

He's shedding in pieces. His head, tail, and underside are clean. It's just stuck on his back really.I'll try the towel method next time. Thanks for the reply.

I assume you plan on bumping up his humidity the next time he is getting ready to shed?

    This ^^

Also the next time he's in shed , watch out for when he regains his colour and eyes clear and then you spray / mist quite often every day until the shed comes off a few days later ..

It's weird because ever since i first saw his belly turn pink before ge went in blue I kept his humidity at 70% but he still has stuck shed.I also spray down his substrate/moss daily.

I'm not quite sure which one that is but if it is one of those analog ones from a pet store the chances of it being accurate are near zero.
