How does one become a mod?

O.K., I'm interested in becoming a moderator, how does one go about applying?

I'm not completely sure, but I think...

They choose. I dont think therre is an aplication or anything. I think they judge by the way the users act and knowledge and go from there, if they see someone who would be fair and make a good mod.. thats how they choose I think.

the admin council chooses candidates when there is a need and if the candidates accept the invitation they are appointed as mods. we just got 2 new mods so it will most likely be a while before there is a need again, but i'm sure that the admin council will keep you in mind. bpbabe is right--no application, they choose someone who is knowledgeable and handles themselves well in the forum setting and who would fill in any empty spots in the current team.

What is "IO"? Sad to say if I don't know what it is, it's a safe bet I don't have it LOL. Prepare yourself for the shock....out here on lovely Lake Charlevoix we don't have digital cable yet and I think just maybe we might be getting DSL someday.
