    Cheap temporary rack?

I've got a few of these laying around brand new...dimensions are
    "3 medium drawer rack"
    14 1/2" D x 12 5/8" W x 25 5/8" H
Made by sterilite number 2830 black I also have a white one but pretty much same thing. Would these work for a bp and would I have to worry about plastic melting from the uth being set around 92*?

Just tired of the wild humidity swings in my glass tanks and I'm building my rack within the next month. FYI humidity stays normal most of the time but the constant checking and adjusting is killing me lol

    Re: Cheap temporary rack?

No. Would not work. The bottom of one tub is the top of the next. How do you mount the UTH in the first place? Also, think about what happens to the tub below when you slide one of them open.

If these were good, cheap, options, people would be using them. There's a reason you don't see them in use.

EDIT: About the plastic melting, would you be worried about taking the rack outside when it's 92° there? Perspective...

No. They will escape from these. If you want to switch to tub setups, just get some standalone tubs with locking lids. Make sure you get the ones you will eventually use in your rack so save some time/money.

Let me ask you a question, does plastic melt outside when it is 92* out? And wouldn't you be more worried about melting the snake at high temps?

    No, it won't melt.

    Re: Cheap temporary rack?

Lol ok just curious I mean it's definitely no big deal to keep them in the glass tanks for another month or so but just exploring temporary options. I like the idea of standalone tuns though..thank you both for the perspective too haha
