I have yzma's humidity at 70% because she's shedding. She's got moss around her hides too. Just went in to peek and she has emptied her water bowl over the sides and onto the moss and bedding.

I read they only soak if hot, dehydrated or have mites. She's none of these. Should I be worried that she keeps doing this? Maybe she's passing through the bowl and soaking everything....I've never actually caught her soaking...

Sounds like you need a heavier water bowl lol i dont think there is anything wrong with her, you can try to bury the water bowl a little, thats what i do, my male yellow belly used to spill water every single night

I ended up getting a bigger, heavier bowl for my girl. She would force her will on pretty much everything in her enclosure. lol She likes to wedge herself between things and make them move. lol

She isn't moving the bowl at all. It's way too heavy. She's slithering through it and displacing the water.

We are going to try a heavy ceramic dog bowl that is smaller to see if that helps - there's not a lot of room between her tree and bowl to squeeze through. Maybe a smaller bowl will help? They don't need to soak so she doesn't need to fit in it right?

I wouldn't worry about it, especially if you haven't observed her soaking. She seems to be just cruising, trying to get comfortable during an uncomfortable process. I can't imagine shedding is anything less than uncomfortable. I got freaked out a few sheds ago when I noticed my King soaking prior to shedding, so I just added some moss and bumped his humidity a bit and all was good, perfect shed, phew!
As far as the size of the water bowl, as long as they have access to it and can get partially in I believe you are fine.

Mites and dehydration CAN be a few reasons they soak, NOT the only.

Elvira will spend 40-60% of her time soaking during different times of the year, more so in the winter it seems.

How's this? Much smaller bowl so she can move from hide to hide without going through the bowl. Still ceramic, so it's heavy.
Last night, she was 1/3 in her hut, 1/3 in her bigger bowl and 1/3 pariscoped.
There is wet moss outside the doors of her huts. She's at 70% humidity. Poor girl looks like someone played "pink belly" all over her.
I think it was just in her way. (This bowl says water....it makes me giggle.)
