Question My Ball is a little over a year old and stopped feeding...

So question, my Ball stopped feeding about a month ago and hes only a bit over a year old...but fed on a regular basis small rats and weighs roughly 560 grams. His last shed was January 6th and looking at him he looks like his eyes have a film over them (its not milky blue) but his body isn't dull like hes ready to shed again...temps and humidity are within the correct range and hes still active and moving around his cage, I maintain his cage accordingly and he is not aggressive at all when handled. Yes is is my first Ball and its a bit unnerving, I know they fast during the winter months, But I'm in Florida....there is no such thing as winter here XD. Any insight from more experienced handlers?!

Well, my babies let me know once theyre hungry because they try to get out of the enclosure, i would say to monitor his weight, and if your feeding f/t you might want to try with a live rodent if he doesnt eat on the next feeding day and he starts losing weight. Youre totally right, we dont have winter here in florida lol

You can try live if you want, you won't hear a peep out of a mouse unless the bp misses a strike. I maintain that its normal winter fasting, regardless of were you are in the us lol.

    Question

Again the feeding I assume is going to be because of the winter months, it's just that it's also his eyes I'm concerned about... is it possible for him to shed and everything come off and not his eyes?

I'm sorry to hear about your snake not eating, but I must say, what a beautiful home you have provided it to live in!

Question Re: My Ball is a little over a year old and stopped feeding...

What do I end up doing for the eyes then? Will they come off come the next shed cycle?
