    HELP! Stuck in hide

I recently purchased a new hide/basking spot combo for my BP. He went in it overnight but not in the way I expected. There's a void in this hide that he's decided to crawl into. I've been waiting for him to come out for over 24 hours and am now beginning to become concerned. I truly don't believe he's stuck. So far I've tried making him uncomfortably warm and cool. Tried touching him hoping he'll slither out. Nothing. He moves around freely inside. And I'm most definitely trying to avoid cutting him out since I don't know exactly how he's coiled up. Any advice would be helpful.

try leaving a rat outside the hide for a bit and see if the smell brings him out. if not try a live feeder that could entice him enough to come out and investigate.

If you are sure he isn't stuck, I wouldn't worry about it. He will come out when he is ready. Scenting the area with rat should help speed things up. it def would with my guys.

During all the attemps dont use yourself to "entice" him to come out. Most ball pythons will acually inflate/hang on and try to hide more from a humane that is trying to get to them. You will make it harder for yourself. Using a live mouse sounds like the best idea to me. Make sure to stay away (but close enough to monitor) while the mouse is in there. If your snake is enjoying the hiding game then the shadow or sight of you may keep him from even coming out for the mouse unless a feeding is skipped. Good luck.
