    Water fast?

When BP'S go on a winter fast, do they stop drinking too?

Yzma started her fast a few weeks ago, but up until her last shed, which ended Christmas eve, she was peeing every day to every two/three days. She hasn't had ago ingle urate since that shed. Should I be worried? (Hot side 90 cold side 80 humidity between 55% and 65%.)

I wouldn't worry at all. Sometimes they go often, sometimes they hold it! They'll drink whenever they need to, as long as the water is fresh (aka not moldy).

My adults will pee/leave a urate anywhere from every 7 days sometimes to every 2 months.

I'm pretty sure they still drink when they need to. As far as peeing, I have one that rarely goes and another that is like a fire hose every other day. It all depends on the individual.

A lot of their fluid intake comes from the food. So if she doesn't eat currently it makes sense that their is less "output".

Does she always fast in the winter ?

Wonder sometimes what people think of us "snake people".

Rats in the freezer...snakes in the fridge. Just a normal day ! LOL

I have a separate extra fridge in the garage. The freezer part on that fridge is for frozen rats only. I never forget the day this weird company pulled up in their truck while I was cleaning the garage and moving stuff onto the driveway. They sell frozen meat. Steaks, chicken, whatever. They just wouldn't take no for an answer. They pulled out all this stuff and kept dropping their prices. I finally told them I have no room in my freezer. They actually went up to my extra fridge and pulled open the freezer door ! One look inside and then they closed it again and left. LMAO !!!!!!!

I used to monitor my snakes when they would pee / poo when I had them on paper towels. I would go through all 20 tubs and change out the paper and clean at least one tub per day. Since I changed to Reptichip I can't tell at all when they go to the bathroom other than when they poo a real big one HA. So I'm not even knowing when they pee now, I don't even worry about it, I only spot clean twice a week and it's only a few tubs, can't even smell their pee with Reptichip. I just keep all the waters full and fresh. I change out my Dixie cups and give fresh water about once a week. I also started cleaning and reusing my Dixie cups, saves a bunch of money, I just save up a month or two worth of cups and clean them all at once by hand. Gotta love those Dixie cups! I think it's funny that people become obsessed with what comes out of their snakes LOL.
