Showcase Cages and adhesive
Looking to secure some strip led lighting to the ceiling of a Showcase cage and secure a stat probe on th wall. Anybody here have any experience with securing stuff to a polyethylene cag?

Showcase Cages and adhesive
I discovered the hard way that the adhesive tape on the back of the LCD strips does not hold.
I used Loctite brand silicone to fix. The reason I went with this brand is because the enclosures were already setup, so gravity may win and pull the striping down. The Locktite has better holding power. The striping stayed put the first time and dried where I set it.

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.
1.2 Coastal Carpet Pythons
Mack The Knife, 2013
Lizzy, 2010
Etta, 2013
1.1 Jungle Carpet Pythons
Esmarelda , 2014
Sundance, 2012
2.0 Common BI Boas, Punch, 2005; Butch, age?
0.1 Normal Ball Python, Elvira, 2001
0.1 Olive (Aussie) Python, Olivia, 2017
Please excuse the spelling in my posts. Auto-Correct is my worst enema.

Pvc or polyethylene cages?

I'm not up on the differences.
But I used it on the following:
Animal Plastics
Boaphile
BoaMasters - melamine
Custom Built that looks like AP material.
This Loctite will stick to about anything, I almost believe that it would stick to wet ice!

Would you recommend not having Animal Plastics rout the channel and just Locktite the strip to the ceiling of the enclosure instead of Locktite and in the channel??

I have two AP cages on order with grooving for LED lighting. I will still use the Locktite as well.
It should have a cleaner look even though it will be unnoticeable. Plus it will be perfectly straight as well.

I jave 2 Showcase and not much of anything sticks to them.
I havent tried anything other than aquarium silicone for a probe. It did stay but also came off easily now that I have decided to sell them.
I would bet IF one of the dragons got to the probe they would have been able to remove it.

Loctite power grab tape works pretty good. I scuffed up my path and cleaned it real good then heated it up with a heat gun. The corners where I turned the led's wouldn't stay down so I shot them with some hot glue. Hot glue works really well!

That looks great Justin! Much better than mine. Compared to your perfectly straight lines mine looks like a 4 year old did it.
