    Humidity in England

I got two hygrometers over the weekend - one is separate and one is a dual thermometer and hygrometer. The humidity reading on both is around 60% straight off the bat. I hear a lot about trying to keep the humidity up and regular misting but I am wondering: if this is more exclusive to warmer places like the US? Because honestly the humidity here has been pretty stable and fairly high. Will that change when I add the heat or is it just relatively easy to maintain humidity here?

I think that really depends on the humidity in your house.

Where I live (Southeast US) it is extremely humid. Yet, in my house its dry. Because I have central Air conditioning and heat. Dries the air out immensely.

I heard that running radiators can dry the air out as well.

Best bet is to simply keep an eye on things. I don't mist daily. I don't keep it on "constant" high. When they go into shed I start misting daily, aside from that it stays medium, medium/high.

I'm living in London and literally never have to mist, humidity in my house is high enough.
I should add that I use a heat lamp (which dries it out) but also orchid bark (which keeps humidity)
