    Pastel Axanthic

There's a small pet store in my town, the only one that sells live feeder mice, really hands on. Well, the owner is new, and while she loves snakes, she has no clue about the different morphs and how to know them from each other. As you can probably guess, this can lead to her getting ripped off, or her accidentally charging too much for morphs. Right now she has a big beautiful female BP, that I'm VERY certain is a pastel axanthic. I would post a picture, but I don't know how to. I've compared the snake many times to pictures of pastel axanthics though, and I'm certain that's what she is. I'm going to tell her that's what she is, but I would also like to tell her the correct price to sell her for so she knows how much she should charge. Again, don't want her charging too much, or getting ripped off. I looked online but I can't seem to find an answer, would any of you guys know how much a pastel axanthic would be priced?

Price would depend on gender, size, quality.

Now a pet store is the last place I would by an Axanthic from because all the different lines are incompatible with one another, so if you want to buy an animal to breed you should look somewhere else and by from someone reputable that can guarantee the genetics. Because even if you decide to breed and make some hets and than breed back to the dam, no one will want to buy those from you not knowing the Lineage.

    Positive on the sex?
Also the line of Axanthic must be known....
All above will help set pricing.

    Re: Pastel Axanthic

The previous owner of the Pet Store was a very poor owner, had some not so nice things to say about the land lord and was awful at keeping track of everything. All I know is that the snake looks EXACTLY like a pastel axanthic, and the new owner needed some extra help with everything, because of how awful the previous own was. It's a small store, only two people working there, and they're the only live feeding store in this town, along with the two closest towns from here. They need all the help they can get, and I figured that helping them with morphs would be the least I could do.

    Re: Pastel Axanthic

Sometimes a snake can lose pigment due to poor husbandry, so if it has been kept badly in the past I would hesitate to say that it was a pastel axanthic. If you are convinced then keep watch on it over several sheds and see if it regains any yellow/brown pigment.

Thank you for the heads up, I'll watch. I did notice it had a few scales missing.
