Brazilian rainbow boa tail is black

    Hi
I have a baby Brazilian rainbow boa who is only a few months old. Just a little bit ago, I noticed the tip of his tail and a little bit down is black and almost appears to be rotting off. His temps are fine. I keep his warm side at about 80 and his humidity is at 95%. He still eats fine but I'm just not sure what the black is. I read that it could be dead tissue, stuck shed, ect.
He always sheds in one piece, so I don't think it's stuck shed, but I'm not 100% sure. I know bearded dragons can get tail rot, and I'm not sure if snakes can get the same. I can take him to the vet if need be, but I'd preferably like to try any home remedies first. Any advice or help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
