Over analyzing
So my bp has a respiratory infection, I started her on antibiotics. But they aren't working. So I'm taking her in on Monday for a lung wash culture. I'm just panicked she will stress out over all this and die. Am I over thinking this?

Yeah we first started on baytril, but my girl because extremely inactive on it so I immediately took her off! I went to a new vet and she suggested a lung wash and I believe that's the best option for my snake right now. I want to kick this bug out of her!

Antibiotics take a while to kick in and you have to keep going with the full treatment. It's not an instant, overnight thing. DO NOT discontinue antibiotics once started until the full run of the prescription is used up, or unless otherwise directed by a vet. Starting then suddenly stopping antibiotics will create resistant bacteria that are harder to fight and kill. Don't panic, consult the vet, and keep trucking on.

I did the full prescription! But I took her off of it once it was done.

Wen we put her on the amakacin jabs we had to soak her so she would keep hydrated cos the antibiotics can dehydrate them a lot u could get a nebuliser n rehydrate her like that, she may go off her food to cos the antibiotics!but please keep the jabs up cos it will beat the ri!

Your snake will be alright with the Vet visit.
You only have 2 options. Take her and get her treated. Or not.
Option 1. Take her and get her treated. LOW risk of the stress of this causing her fatal harm. Very low. Just transport her safely.
Option 2. Don't take her. HIGH risk of RI turning chronic and ever worse, eventually killing the snake and making her life miserable in the meantime.
So really, what choice do you have ?
I understand anxiety, and it helps to break things down logically and BREATHE !!
You and your snake will be ok !!!
Just keep coming to this forum to discuss fears, to get info and advice and just to talk things out...that is what a forum is there for. For support.

edited to say: Once you have her on meds, do not stop them unless discussed with the Vet. For a snake species that is as sedentary as a Ball Python its actually a better sign for them to be calm/lazy/seemingly lethargic rather then cruising around.
